Esta práctica tomó en cuenta que la introducción de un nuevo modelo de disciplina lleva su tiempo y repaso, por esta misma semana se distribuyó el tiempo del taller durante un periodo de dos meses y se contribuyó material de apoyo que pueden acceder cuando lo consideren necesario.[:en]Educating children can be a great challenge for parents and when it comes to institutionalized children can become an even more complicated task for their caregivers, for various factors such as: situations that have experienced abuse, mistreatment, violence and The fact of being away from their relatives. This is reflected in their behavior and sometimes they become aggressive and difficult to understand. «The hatred and aggressiveness that keeps those who have mistreated them projected them against society.» (Casado, Diaz y Martinez, 1997, p, 295)
This does not mean that it is an impossible task to achieve, but it does require patience, time and dedication. Maintain a balance between kindness and firmness without disrespecting or assaulting the child. This is precisely what seeks positive discipline, where it is to eradicate any type of abuse or maltreatment to the child. «From the perspective of positive education, the work of setting limits is based on a philosophy in which adults try to create an enabling environment for children to develop» (Alvarez and Murow, 2001, p.2). This type of education is relevant for any child, but institutionalized child care providers need to know and adopt this model precisely to promote the healthy development of a child at high social risk.
According to the above mentioned with the present practice developed in the shelter, it was tried in the same way to implement these advanced ideas that have accompanied the progress of a current as revolutionary as this was to contribute that equality between the children and their caregivers, creating a Better relationship based on respect for the child and empowering a human being as healthy and resilient as possible, taking into account the complicated situations that have had to live. This practice took into account that the introduction of a new model of discipline takes its time and review, this week distributed the time of the workshop for a period of two months and contributed support material that can be accessed when deemed necessary.
